The November Android security update was released for Pixel/Nexus devices two weeks ago. Well, most Pixel.Nexus devices that is. The original Google Pixel and Pixel XL were not included in the initial rollout. Thankfully, the update is finally being sent out to devices now and we have the files for you.
There were no functional updates for the original Pixels this month. It’s still good to have the latest Android security patches. We’re not sure why it took Google two extra weeks to include the original Google Pixel devices this month. Even the Essential Phone and a few other devices were able to get the update quicker. Usually, Google is good about having the files available right away, even if the OTA takes some time to arrive. Regardless, you can find the factory images and OTA files below for both devices.
Find the Android security files for your device and click “Link” to start the download. To flash the update manually without losing all of your data, follow the steps outlined in this tutorial.
