The global version of MIUI 10—the latest version of Xiaomi’s custom user interface—was announced in June at the Xiaomi Redmi Y2 event. After releasing weekly MIUI 10 Global Beta builds for many devices, Xiaomi then started releasing MIUI 10 Global Stable for a few devices starting in September. As of now, popular devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi Max 3 and others have received the MIUI 10 Global Stable update. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S has even received the Android Pie update, becoming the first Xiaomi phone to do so. However, other devices such as the Xiaomi POCO F1 are still waiting for the MIUI 10 Global Stable update. Now, the company has announced that it has opened MIUI 10 beta testing programs (based on Android Oreo) for the following devices:
- Xiaomi Mi Max 3
- Xiaomi Mi 5s
- Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus
- Xiaomi Mi Note 3
The company is recruiting global beta testers. Users can apply for the beta testing program if they own any of the aforementioned phones. In order to apply, they will need to have the MIUI Global Forum app installed on their phone. They will have to register for an account, and the last date for registrations differs on a per-device basis, as noted below:
- November 6 for the Mi Max 3
- October 31 for the Mi Note 3
- October 29 for the Mi 5s
- November 4 for the Mi 5s Plus
Other recruitment requirements include having an unlocked bootloader. Users must also be using the latest MIUI Global Beta ROM. Community members will be selected on the basis of active participation on the forum.
Users from all regions can apply for the beta program, and the communication language will be in English. Xiaomi states that users should have some knowledge about bootloader unlocking, ROMs, and flashing MIUI ROMs.
