A new model of the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has been spotted on TENAA, and interestingly, it features a bump up to 8GB of RAM and red trim along the sides and around the fingerprint sensor. The rest of the device remains black, however, the new design is clearly going for style points over the other variants. Red phones are generally pretty popular in China.

While the RAM has been bumped up to 8GB, there doesn’t really appear to be any other changes. The other specs appear to remain the same, with it packing the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, 3250mAh battery and dual camera setup on the rear. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is a mid-range smartphone and features mid-range specifications to suit. This is the latest addition in the continuously-growing Mi 8 Family. Currently, there is the Mi 8 SE, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro.
Whether the Mi 8 Lite with a red trim will launch globally is unknown, as the company has primarily marketed this phone within China. It’s available to import if you really want it, but there are much easier phones to import if you really want something with similar specifications. If you’re interested still, you can check out the specs below.
