Moto G7 renders show waterdrop notch and huge bottom bezels

Moto G7

Back in August, we got our first look at the alleged Moto G7. It was one of the first devices to feature the “waterdrop” notch design. Last month, it was reported that the Moto G7 and Moto G7 Plus (but no “Play” model) will be launching in 2019. Today, the Moto G7 is getting closer to being official with some leaked renders.

These new 3D renders reveal the waterdrop notch design once again. We can also see the aggressive rounder corners of the 18:9 display on the top and bottom. Rounded display corners are certainly not new, but there’s just something odd-looking about it on the Moto G7. There is bezel above the notch for the earpiece speaker and a bottom bezel with the “Motorola” logo.

The back of the phone features dual cameras and flash in the familiar circular camera bump. We can also see the fingerprint scanner on the back and curved glass around the edges. Both these renders and the previously leaked photos did not show the Moto Mods connection pins on the back, which was also absent from the Moto G6.

Rumored specs at this time include a Full HD+ resolution display, unnamed octa-core SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, dual 16+5MP cameras, 12MP front camera, 3,500 mAh battery, and Android Pie. So far, the hardware seems to be a decent upgrade from the Moto G6. None of this is confirmed and we likely won’t see anything official until next year. What do you think of the Moto G7?
