There’s a segment of the community who has no problem with using unofficial releases of popular Android mods. There are times when these unofficial ports work fine and there are times when they work better than the official release. However, an official release is always the best. If you own the Moto G6 Plus, Moto X Force, or the 2017 variant of the Galaxy A7, the official release of TWRP is here for your device.
The developer community support has been rather bare for the Moto G6 Plus, Galaxy A7 2017, and the Moto X Force, but these releases could open the floodgates now that it is easier for community developers to create backups, test their work, and perform a restore in case something isn’t quite right.
That isn’t to say that there hasn’t been any developer community support for these devices, but now that we have official releases of TWRP available, we could see a lot more in the near future. You’ll find the official download pages for each of these three devices down below. We also encourage you to keep your eye on the XDA forums now more than ever since we could see a lot more developer support happening for each of these three smartphones.
