At an event in Prague, Czech Republic, Honor announced the availability of the Honor 8X smartphone in Central and Eastern European countries. The Honor 8X launched in China early last month and has since become available online in the United Kingdom and soon the United States. The device boasts a 6.5-inch display with an impressive 91% screen-to-body and 4.25mm bottom border width. It’s a mid-range device in terms of specifications and pricing, but Honor is hoping that the phone’s display and a plethora of AI software features will bring the company the same success in Europe that the Honor 10 achieved.
Honor is a top online brand in China, a top 2 brand in Russia and India, a top 5 brand in Spain, has seen 100% growth in the Czech Republic, and a 200% growth in the United Kingdom. Honor has entered into a partnership with Red Bull to promote their products. The company is rapidly growing overseas, and Honor is going all-in on promoting the Honor 8X in Europe. The Honor 8x launch in Central and Eastern Europe shows the company has big plans for the AI smartphone.

Honor 8X Display
Honor is boasting an incredible 91% screen-to-body ratio on the 8X. That’s made possible by the Chip-on-film (COF) technology which gives the 8X a really slim bottom bezel. Here’s a comparison of the Honor 8X’s bottom bezel width compared to several competing flagship smartphones.
The Honor 8X is the first smartphone with TÜV Rheinland’s Low Blue Standard Certification. That means the phone emits less blue light to help protect your eyes.
