Now that the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are official, APKs from the new devices are popping up. One big area of focus for the Pixel 3 is a redesigned Google Camera app with new features. The APK for this update is already available for download on previous Pixel phones, though don’t expect all the new Pixel 3 bells and whistles.
The main difference is the updated UI. The slide-out side menu has been removed. The different camera modes are now accessible by swiping from left to right, as listed across the bottom. The “More” section has a few more camera modes, AR Stickers, Google Lens, and Settings. Diving into those Settings, the Google Camera now finally supports RAW images. This is in the “Advanced” section and can be toggled on.
Panorama Mode now has arrows instead of dots, but that’s about it for this update. Obviously, you’ll need the latest Pixel devices to use the new features like Top Shot and Night Sight, but it’s a nice little update for older Pixel devices as well. Download the Google Camera 6.1 APK right here.
