OnePlus gets a lot of its software right on its phones. Enthusiasts enjoy OxygenOS for its stock feel and abundance of the “right” features. It’s not quite bloated, but it’s got just about everything you could really want from your Android phone. OnePlus Launcher is an example of this. While it has support for many features stock launchers do not, it does lack one key feature that Google users might want. The lack of a Google Feed is a dealbreaker for some (myself included) which has users switching to the likes of the Rootless Pixel Launcher. However, thanks to the hard work of XDA Senior Members paphonb and Skittles9823, you can download a modified OnePlus Launcher with Google Feed support! All you need is a OnePlus 6 running Android Pie and root access via Magisk.
As you can see, it’s a simple task for the user to enable. The Magisk Module doesn’t just completely overwrite the OnePlus Shelf either if you use that, as you can enable either one with a simple quick toggle in settings. It’s simple, it’s quick, and it’s easy.
Simply flash the module and reboot. Your new modded OnePlus Launcher should be there where you can enable the Google Feed panel straight from the launcher settings. The Google Feed can give you updates on topics you’ve shown interest in, commuting tips, and weather updates. It’s a pretty useful feature.
What the Module does is replace the OnePlus Launcher APK with paphonb’s modded one, which enables the Google Feed. It’s a pretty cool modification because, as it turns out, the Google Feed is technically available as part of the OnePlus Launcher already. paphonb found that enabling the Google Feed was simple as the toggle to enable it was just disabled. Once you’ve got the module installed, reboot and the Google Feed will be enabled by default, with the ability to switch it back to the OnePlus Shelf at any time. You can download the module below!

The Module will NOT work on the OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, or OnePlus 5T until those devices get the official OxygenOS 9.0 update based on Android Pie. That’s because the code to enable Feed in the OnePlus Launcher isn’t available in the OnePlus Launcher version that ships with OxygenOS based on Android Oreo.
