The Nokia 3.1 was announced back in May, but it took a couple of months before it launched in India. The Nokia 3.1 was originally announced with Android 8.1, but in India, it launched with Android 8.0. Thankfully, Android 8.1 is starting to roll out to the Nokia 3.1 in India.

HDM Global said the device will get Android Pie, but before that, it’s getting 8.1. This software update is V2.56B and comes in at 1125.7 MB. The new features include a revamped power menu, new settings menu, Bluetooth battery percentage, and the September security patch. The usual stability improvements are included as well. Oh, and the hamburger emoji has been fixed. Can’t forget that.

The update is rolling out right now to the Nokia 3.1 in India. This is an Android One device with near stock Android. As a quick refresher, the 3.1 has a 5.2-inch 18:9 display with a notch, 2/3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, MediaTek processor, 13MP camera, and 2,990 mAh battery. Head over to the Settings > About phone > System updates to see if the update is ready on your device.
