We’re less than three weeks away from the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Samsung will show off the phones on February 25, a day before Mobile World Congress 2018 kicks off in Barcelona, Spain. Both are said to pack powerful hardware, but the Galaxy S9+ reportedly has something special: A dual camera module. Now, newly leaked renders appear to confirm it.

The press renders come courtesy of VentureBeat’s Evan Blass, whose leaks have been right on the money more times than not. In addition to the previously unrevealed Lilac Purple color, they show the Galaxy S9+’s dual rear camera in full view.
Previous rumors suggested the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+’s rear cameras would be able to detect motion and capture “super slow-mo” video in 480fps at 720p, and that the primary 12MP cameras would have a variable aperture. The phones are also said to have a mechanical adjustment system that can switch between f/2.4 and smallest-in-class f/1.5.
We’ve seen renders of both the Galaxy S9 and with the Galaxy S9+ from case manufacturers, and they’re generally considered trustworthy. Because Samsung wants the accessory ecosystem to be ready for the devices’ release, the company sends dimensions to accessory manufacturers ahead of launch so they can begin working on new designs. But the new leaks are some of the most revealing yet.
In terms of the upcoming phones’ other specs, there are stereo speakers on the bottom, according to previous reports, and fingerprints scanners around back. The Galaxy S9’s display is reportedly 5.8 inches, and the Galaxy S9’s is 6.2 inches. And in the United States and China, the two handsets will ship with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chips, and the international variants will pack Samsung’s Exynos 9810 chipset.
The standard Galaxy S9 will come with 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of internal storage, and the Galaxy S9+ will have with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. According to Mr. Blass, both will begin shipping through retail outlets on March 16.
