When Google launched their photos service, they made it very easy for someone to automatically backup all the pictures on their smartphone or tablet. Sure, we could manually select which folders we wanted to backup, but we didn’t have control over individual photos. That changes with the latest update to Google Photos. You can select individual photos and then manually back them up.
