Google Pixel 3, Google Pixel Slate, and Google Home Hub Hands-on!

The long road of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL  rumor mill has finally come to an end today. After more leaks than we have ever seen for a device, the folks at Google finally got up on a stage and made things official. We compiled everything that Google regarding the new phones into one mega announcement post. We also covered the unveiling of the new Pixel Slate detachable Chromebook tablet and the Google Home Hub smart display. Our friends at Pocketnow have shared their hands-on experience with the new Pixels, the Google Pixel Slate, and the Google Home Hub.

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL

Maybe more than any other phone, the Google Pixel 3 XL requires some hands-on time to really make a decision on the appearance. It seems that a lot of people are saying the notch doesn’t look as bad in person. The hands-on video gives us a better of how it looks next to the smaller Pixel 3 as well.

Google Pixel Slate

This 12.3-inch Chromebook is Google’s first detachable Chromebook tablet, and the second such device running Chrome OS after the HP Chromebook X2. Google Home Hub

Lastly, the Google Home Hub, Google’s own smart display, was announced. The device has a 7-inch touchscreen LCD panel, far-field microphones, booming speakers, but no cameras. It’s based on the Google Cast platform rather than Android Things, but it’s got all the features and then some when compared to the Lenovo Smart Display.
