Download stable Pixel 3 Google Camera port for the OnePlus 6

The Google Camera app on Wear OS has been updated to support the Viewfinder.

The Google Pixel 3 comes with a new version of the Google Camera app—version 6.1. Google Camera 6.1 brings a new UI with swipe gestures to navigate the UI. For the Pixel 3, it has new features such as Top Shot, Motion Tracking Autofocus, Auto Frame Rate in video recording, the upcoming Night Sight feature for low light photos, and more. We have already seen ports of the Pixel 3’s camera app being developed for a few devices. Developers have managed to enable Night Sight for devices such as the Xiaomi Mi 5. The Pixel 3 Google Camera port was also developed by B-S-G for the Xiaomi POCO F1 and the Xiaomi Mi 8. It also works on the Vivo NEX. Now, a stable Pixel 3 Google Camera port developed by XDA Senior Member Arnova8G2 is available for the OnePlus 6.

The port is categorized as stable by the developer. It should be noted that features such as Night Sight, Slow motion, Photobooth, and Top Shot have all been disabled. Zoom in portrait mode and resampling have also been disabled.

The list of working functionality includes HDR+ on, Portrait Mode, RAW functionality, 1080p video at 30/60/auto FPS, 4K video at 30FPS, Motion Auto Focus, Google Lens suggestions, and Face Retouching.

The Pixel 3 Google Camera port can be downloaded via the source link. We have previously done a photo comparison between the stock OxygenOS Camera of the OnePlus 6 and the previous Pixel 2 camera port. It would be interesting to see if image quality is improved in the Pixel 3 camera port. HDR+ itself has the potential to improve image quality (as it does on so many phones), especially in low light.
